Computing, Data, and Society Fellows (CDSF) conduct cutting-edge research in computing and data science, broadly construed, with the potential for direct or indirect societal benefits.
Example areas of focus include Algorithmic Fairness, Ethical AI, Explainable AI, Disinformation, Algorithmic Economics, Privacy, Security, smart grid, sustainable computing; or applied mathematics, computer science, and control theory with applications to climate, energy, water, transportation, medicine, biology, chemistry, neuroscience, medicine, agriculture, and sociology.
This list is not meant to be exhaustive; candidates whose research interests – in any area of computing and mathematical sciences – meet the broad aims of the program may apply.
Information on positions beginning in Fall 2025 will be posted here when available. Review of applications will begin on November 15. Complete applications should be received before January 1 to receive full consideration.
A CV, Research Statement and three reference letters are required. The research statement should contain a section that addresses past and/or potential contributions to diversity, equity, and inclusion (e.g., mentoring activities, committee service, research, or teaching activities). A cover letter and a Teaching Statement are optional. All candidate materials are due by December 1st, 2024 and letters are due by December 15, 2024.
