Tenure-Track Faculty Position in Geology

The Division of Geological and Planetary Sciences at the California Institute of Technology invites applications for a tenure-track position in Geology, with expertise in fields including but not limited to paleoenvironments, weathering, tectonics, or properties and mechanics of earth materials. We seek individuals who will lead an innovative research program, while complementing our existing strengths, and are committed to teaching and mentorship of students and postdoctoral fellows. The initial appointment at the assistant professor level is contingent upon completion of a Ph.D. degree in a relevant field. Extraordinarily well-qualified candidates may also be considered at the tenured professor level.

Salaries for professorial faculty at Caltech fall in the range $125,000 to $400,000.
