Lecturer in Music
The Division of the Humanities and Social Sciences at the California Institute of Technology (Caltech) invites applications for a position as Lecturer in Music, beginning in September 2022. Job Description: The initial appointment of this non-tenure-track, nine-month teaching position will run for Caltech's 2022-2023 academic year (September 27, 2022-June 21, 2023), which begins September 2022, with the possibility of renewal subject to successful job performance. The successful candidate will teach six classes per year (two per term) with limited student enrollments. Classes will cover a range of topics in music history, theory, and appreciation.
Requirements: Master’s degree in music; PhD is preferred. Previous teaching experience at the college/university level is required.

Caltech has implemented a mandatory vaccination policy effective October 15, 2021, requiring COVID-19 vaccinations for all employees (with Institute-approved exemptions for religious or medical contraindications only).
