Postdoctoral Instructorship in Philosophy

The Division of the Humanities and Social Sciences at the California Institute of Technology invites applications for a two-year Postdoctoral Instructorship in philosophy, beginning Fall 2020. Area of Specialization: We are seeking candidates whose research addresses philosophical questions involving new technologies; for example, the ethics of AI, data and privacy, biomedical ethics, or the epistemology of machine learning. The successful candidate will be expected to teach three (ten-week) undergraduate courses during each of the two years. The appointment is contingent upon completion of the Ph.D.
